Projects
I read many books and do many experiments exploring old and new techniques. Every now and then one of these becomes a project: on this page there is a list, not complete, of some of these projects.
libri.sh
The number of technical books published each year is increasing and it is becoming more and more difficult to find the right one to learn something new. You can proceed by trial and error, reading one after the other all those related to a certain topic, but it is neither a practical nor a sustainable approach: how many can we read before getting tired and abandoning ourselves to other less stressful activities?
The other route we can take is to make our choice based on reviews that we find online, usually right below the book we are about to buy. Unfortunately, even in this case, our choice won’t be so simple because among the reviews you can read everything and its opposite. Some of these reviews are false, others are true but without the necessary context with respect to the expectations of those who read them.
Started in 2024, libri.sh collects honest, independent, clear reviews, all written in Italian. The purpose of these reviews is to make choosing your next read a pleasant activity and one that may allow you to discover a book you didn’t know about but that could change your (professional?) life.
lisp.quest
At the beginning of 2023 I started list.quest, a tiny website dedicated to Lisp. My aim was to collect notes from a journey to discover Lisp, using plain English. I don’t write posts regularly but every now and then it might happen. After all, it takes a lifetime to master Lisp.
